POEM AND MUSIC MADE BY ME A lonely girl stood high upon the stone, Her heart was full of sorrow, lost, alone. She looked around the cliffs, the depths, the sky, “Is this the place,” she thought, “where I should die?” Her tears fell heavy, streaming like the rain, She saw in life no joy, but only pain. She spread her arms, prepared to step behind, Hoping her fall would free her troubled mind. But from the depths an eagle rose in flight, Its wings of silver filled the air with light. Its piercing gaze met with the young girl’s eyes, And hope within her heart began to rise.
